Orichalcum Spear

A mysterious metal which was said to be used in Plato's Atlantis, but what might not be known is that this mystical material actually existed. It is possible that Plato may have had access to ancient texts since lost which refered to this substance as Ancient Egypt did indeed have strong ties to the civilisation which created it. The lost continent of Mu, much like it's literary Atlantean successor did indeed vanish beneath the waves amongst the three storms of golden demise many thousands of years ago, but relics of it's existence exist in lonely hard to reach places.    Within the Mumian outposts of the Hollow Earth can be found many well preserved ruins and artefacts of this mighty civilisation which survived the cataclysmic collapse of it's homeland, yet perished without it's support. Orichalcum was a metal which conducted mana, the etherial energy which connects all places objects and people, as such a weapon made of this material could be very effective. When discovered by David Inning's upon his 1883 Hollow Earth expedition he had little idea of what he held as he utelise it in it's most base function. In truth the spear if weilded correctly could shoot energy bolts, stun or even alert the user to an enemies presence. It could even create fields of energy which at it's weakest could keep insects at bay and at it's strongest deflect lightning. Once brought to the surface world this curious item was kept by Mr Inning's despite many attempts by museums and organisations wishing to purchase and study it.    Indeed the spears amber like luninosity and texture make it an oddity amongst oddities, perhaps best described as a javeline due to the full smooth length being made of the same inexplicable material. Strange hiroglyphs and symbols seem etched into the object, but a close examination will reveal these to be imbued within the substance itself. If used for offensive purposes it was perhaps weilded utelising the Shibushama martial art of Infant Island which utelises a combination of physical attcks and mystical defenses. A combination most likely made even more effective by the lost technology of Orichalcum removing the need for active defense on the part of the weilder when fully trained.
