Atunbéan Kraken, Chief Petty Officer

The Special Operations Unit that hunts rogue Atunbéans is called Tactical Control, aka “The Kraken” (the derogatory term for The Kraken is “the squids”, but that is said only in whispers, as no one knows who is Kraken except other Kraken – and maybe their spouses, if they are married – and they are extremely secretive). There are eight members of the Kraken unit. Each maintains a cover within a regular unit until deployed to hunt down a rogue Atunbéan. Each Kraken manifests a combination of abilities from all divisions and train to use those abilities in conjunction with each other to create new and powerful effects. The Kraken answer only to Fleet Admiral Dako, who personally picked and trained them all. Admiral Dako knew Remiliat “Rem” Dumasani – the Atunbéan Psychon, who would fall in love and eventually become the first Atunbéan to go AWOL – would betray Atunbé.  He had long wanted to test The Kraken in the field and the crafty and skilled Rem was the perfect test subject. Thus, the Fleet Admiral arranged for the crew to which Rem belonged to discover a seemingly abandoned ship that they spent weeks repairing (see DaVaun Sanders’ Remiliat Dumasani Character Sketch entry) and even "pushed" Rem and her husband-to-be's relationship a bit to ensure she'd take the path he had foreseen. When Rem escapes out of love, Dako sends the eager Kraken to bring her back to be court-martialed (i.e. killed). What the Fleet Admiral does NOT know, however, is that Kraken member, Dike Agha, has long been in love with Rem and plans to make her his own after he helps her escape. He is willing to kill his fellow Kraken members - and even Rem herself - if anyone tries to prevent this. Dike Agha (DEE-kay AH-gah) is proficient at killing and hunting and enjoys both. As such, he has mastered all three Psion abilities – Telekinesis, Force Field and Psi-Weapons and is quite proficient in the Psychon ability of  Motor Cortex Shutdown and the Psychic ability of Postcognition. He is also a skilled pilot, driver, protection specialist and actor, having maintained a cover as driver / bodyguard for Lieutenant Commander Dumasani (Rem’s father) for several years. Dike is cunning, ruthless, and resourceful and possesses a vast intelligence and quick wit. He is a quiet, private man, but can easily affect an air of openness and gregariousness, which he normally does. Even his Kraken brothers and sisters believe he is a stable, friendly, fun-loving guy, who just happens to be good at killing. He is actually a sociopath to whom killing comes as easily as eating pancakes, just a lot more enjoyable.
