The world of Gaspara has many different cultures and long ago those different peoples had their own independent governments. It was the Cassads that united that world under a single banner. But there were a few societies that rejected that unification for fear they would lose their culture and beliefs. This of course was not tolerated by the Cassad Empire who used various methods to force them into the collective. When those methods failed the Cassads chose to eliminate rather than negotiate. But one small community of a people called the Nerum, who had been starved and poisoned by the Cassad Regent of Gaspara, found a way to strike back at the Cassads even as they realized they were going to die. They used their children...
