The Valian Conin
Conin represents the interests of the New Regime Median worlds during the trial of Cassad.
When the Wars of the Blade broke out in Quaznian space, there came a greater need for supplies and equipment for many of the Cassad worlds involved. Ziaran Regents were dispatched across the Median sector to procure resources.
The moons of the giant planet Afurakani orbiting the star Afuraitkaitnit, were mineral rich and located only a few light years from the Matron Gates.
Shaba and Krio, two of the largest moons were class M and inhabited since before the Dark Age. They were selected by the Regents for conversion from basic worlds to resource worlds.
The people of the two moons, Shaba and Krio, objected of course and after having their request for arbitration denied they staged protests and eventually outright resistance.
The Regents in charge swiftly and permanently put down the resistance and instituted massive conversion operations while many of the inhabitants of the two moons were still on the surfaces.
Conin, an adolescent at the time, watched from orbit as her world was converted and her people left homeless. She actually stood on an observation deck alongside her father, the Krio world Representative and the Cassad Regent. When she cried her outrage the Regent explained to her how the Krio had lived under the protection of several worlds for a millennia and now it was being called on to help those worlds in their time of need. He told her that is was “in the name of fairness” that her world was lost.
Later in life, she was instrumental in the formation of the Coalition of Free worlds, the New Regime, and was named the Median sectors Representative during the Trial of Cassad.
She wears and ornate headdress, its print is an artistic representation of the surface of Afurakani and has plasmagraphic representations of the moons of that world orbiting about it.
