The Breaking World

The planet where Element “G: was first found. The planet is literally breaking; as the element G in the mantle pushes parts of itself away while normal gravity pulls it back in on itself. Huge continents float past, over and under each other in a slow but constant cycle. The planet itself may have been “broken” in an attempt by the Welts to create a “warp highway” across the known. The attempt was interrupted by the DARK AGE and resulted in the Nine-Five, the warped band of space running through Eastspace. As such the planet found itself slave to the now more dominant forces of magnetism riding out from the iron core. The Element G filled surface found itself flung out into space, riding the magnetic belts. The solar wind buffeting the planet still could not penetrate the magnetic field but manages to push it about. Places of note: Stels; Orbiting starship facility with various vendors, ship repair and fabrication facilities. Pack Loren has ownership of a hanger there but has yet to outfit it. On the Planet itself as well as the planet Hinder, the large amount of unmined “G-Rock” forced the people on the planet to develop largely non electrical forms of tech. As a result the three major nations of the Welt; The Knol, the Varat and the Yaquzom all developed steampower, diesel and analog tech.
