Ziena Fest
Ziena Fest, a.k.a. the Festival of the Hunt, is a holiday centered around the end of summer and finishing the season's hunt. The festival is connected back to the constellation of Ziena. It is celebrated every twelve months with excitement and hungry bellies. The religious roots that surround this festival is associated with helping the pack thrive with nourishment, homemade festival decorations, games of chance, and going out for dinner with the entire pack via a massive barbeque. Officially, it is celebrated for eight days, but decorations are often found well in advance and after that time as well.
History
In past times, the Goddess of the Hunt, Ziena, purposely selected the best Hunters and Warriors from each werewolf pack by a strange mark appearing somewhere on their body. Once identified as the mark of Ziena, the Warriors and Hunters are led somewhere randomly in a forest, mountain, or desert, where they are given a task to hunt the most dangerous beasts (i.e. dracat) in the location. Usually, they are expected to bring home at least five of the beasts, and they have only seven days to complete it. On Earth, the hunt requires the best Hunters and Warriors to go out and collect as many as fifty elk, deer, caribou, etc. for the festival. There is still a time limit of seven days to hunt the creatures. When the final day of the festival is at hand, everyone is expected to gather and cook the best food in the name of Ziena for blessing them with a glorious hunt, and at the end of the day everyone sits around a few long tables that are setup on the track field. This allows for everyone to enjoy a meal together. Before the first bite is taken, everyone in the pack is to say what they are thankful for over the past season. by HaiBaron (Pixabay)
