Sylas hails from the rugged, lawless frontier lands bordering the Southern Vale. Growing up in a small, isolated village constantly threatened by bandits and hostile creatures, he learned early on that survival required more than just strength; it required cunning and skill. His natural agility and talent for moving unseen made him a perfect candidate for the role of a scout and hunter for his village.
Tragedy struck when a particularly vicious band of marauders razed his village to the ground, leaving Sylas as one of the few survivors. Fueled by a desire for revenge and a need to survive, he wandered the frontier, honing his skills as a tracker and assassin. His reputation for stealth and lethality caught the attention of the Ironjaw Reavers, a notorious group of mercenaries and raiders led by the formidable Wulfgar.
Wulfgar saw potential in the young man and took him under his wing. Sylas quickly adapted to the Reavers' brutal way of life, proving himself to be an invaluable asset on numerous missions. His ability to silently eliminate targets and gather intelligence made him a favored operative within the Reavers.
Joining the Ironjaw Reavers
Sylas's journey to joining the Reavers began when he successfully tracked and assassinated the leader of the bandits responsible for destroying his village. This act of vengeance brought him to the attention of the Reavers, who were always on the lookout for skilled individuals. Impressed by his abilities and driven by his desire for a place to belong, Sylas accepted their offer to join the ranks.
Under Wulfgar's command, Sylas received further training, becoming proficient not only in assassination but also in various forms of combat and espionage. He became known for his ability to infiltrate heavily guarded locations and eliminate high-value targets without leaving a trace.
Turning into a Ghoul
Sylas was sought out by Odessa to become a ghoul during the Reaver's raid on Duskridge in order to aid her on her Dawnstadt infiltration mission.
