Subject 813-a: Sir Richard Corwyn Whitechapel III

Knight of the Realm Whitechapel

Division case file #813, Subject 813-a   Sir Richard Corwyn Whitechapel III   Subject Whitechapel is a 98-year-old man currently committed to St. Sebastian's Asylum in York, England. He was apprehended and committed after unsealing a Door contained within an anomalous painting (The Whispering Woods ) and releasing the Harbinger contained within it. Agent Minerva extracted sufficient memories from him to render him amenable to coercion and containment. Division operatives embedded with St. Sebastian's staff describe the subject as amiable and mild-mannered, though during the night he can sometimes be heard laughing or carrying out unintelligible conversations with himself in his room. Physically, he is more energetic and youthful than the average male of his age bracket and socioeconomic status. Investigations are ongoing as to whether or not this constitutes an effect of the unsealing ritual.   Richard Corwyn Whitechapel was a noted coal magnate and, at the time of the events of case #813, one of the wealthiest men in England. His family has deep ties to both Members of Parliament and various occult groups in positions of power. He was known to Division operatives before the incident, but his purchase of "The Whispering Woods" at auction initiated a full investigation. Agents grew more suspicious when he brokered the release of Subject 813-b (Esha Patil) from St. Sebastian's Asylum, where she had been committed involuntarily after seemingly suffering a psychotic break after completing the painting.   Division deployed Omen-class agents to investigate the subject, who discovered that he needed the artist who created the painting to unlock the Door within. The agents in question arrived at Whitechapel Manor too late, and discovered the door had been opened. Full testimony from Agents Persephone and Minerva is detailed in Division case record ████████.   Upon closure of the gate and containment of the Harbinger, Agent Minerva extracted memories from the subject, which were remitted to her care. Subject was committed to St. Sebastian's Asylum and placed under watch by three embedded Division agents. Bi-monthly observations, biological and metaphysical assessments, and photographic records are recorded and stored in Division record ████████████.
