Subject 813-b: Esha Patil
Division Case File #813, Subject 813-b
Esha Patil
Subject Patil was a lower-caste woman born in Bangalore, India in 1886. Though she has been corporeally deceased since 1910, her soul is currently contained in the anomalous painting "The Whispering Woods " (in Division custody).
Esha Patil was born to humble origins, her mother a seamstress and her father a pedicab driver. From an early age, she exhibited artistic talent, and was encouraged in her creative pursuits. Around the time of her adolescence, she was taken into the tutelage of her maternal aunts on a regular basis. Minor extranormal activity has been documented in her lineage, and it is surmised that the nature of this arrangement was training and skill development. Division files contain evidence that Subject Patil is responsible for the containment of no fewer than four Archon-class apparitions and one yet-uncharacterized demonic entity, all through physical artistic media.
Subject was committed involuntarily to St. Sebastian's Asylum in November of 1909, shortly after she completed the aforementioned anomalous painting. Details on her diagnosis and the identity of the individual who completed the necessary paperwork are inconclusive. She remained at the Asylum for nine months, and by all accounts was a model patient.
In July of 1910, she was discharged from the asylum to the custody of Subject 813-a. The discharge process appeared unusually accelerated and routine documentation was not found. Subject Patil lived as a ward at the residence of Subject 813-a until December of that year, in which the events of Case file #813 transpired. Specific details on the circumstances of subject's corporeal death are scant, but it is known that she was a willing participant in the ritual. Testimony from Division Agents Persephone and Minerva can be found in Division case record ████████████.
