Vampires
Basic Information
Anatomy
Humanoid form
Their humanoid form is almost exactly like common humans, just with some added features. In the palate they have retractable fangs that bend out. The fangs are connected to a gland that produces a kind of venom that makes the victim calm and easy to control. Their ears are pointy at the end, like their bat-form.
Bat form
They can transfrom into a bat-like creature, if they are well rested. The bat is bigger than a normal one, about 1 meter tall.
Biological Traits
Genetics and Reproduction
If another humanoid is injected by their venom multiple times over a longer period of time, they start to show signs of transformation, e.g hypersensitivity to light, a loss of appetite (especially towards cooked food) and a gnawing at the back of one's head. If the injections continue, the humanoid will start to physically transform; fangs growing in the palate, their pupils contracting and their ears growing more pointy.
Growth Rate & Stages
A vampire can not be born "pure", instead they become half vampire, half whatever race the parent/s is/are.
NOAs a vampire grows older, some of their powers grows stronger with them. They have an easier time entering and influencing other creatures' minds, and the time it takes for older vampires to turn other creatures is shortened.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
In their humanoid form they have heightened sight and hearing, with added darkvision. In addition to this they have some psychic powers, that they can use to influence the minds of other creatures.
Their bat form also has well evolved senses. They use echolocation to see better, because of their poor eyesight.
