Axel

Axel is a small village on the southern border of Latom Forest. Known for its art and clothiers it is where many nobles as well as commoners get their clothes.

Demographics

Because of how small the village is and how close everyone is the wealth in Axel is very equal. While some have more money than others and some are dirt poor they all live in similar base conditions.

Government

Axel is governed by the people with a Mayor being voted in every year. During this time the Mayor is put in charge of diplomatic issues as well as village wide problems. However, the title "Mayor" is just that, a title. The village still votes on almost every large issue.

Defences

Axel does not have many defenses outside of a gate on the north side of town which protects the village from monsters in the forest. On the top of the gate there are two large cannons which are used when the occasional Troll appears. Besides that the city of Axel boasts a militia of about 100 men as well as a group of 8 adventurers who help the town with monster issues as well as material gathering.

Industry & Trade

Axel is a hotspot for material trading. Merchants regularly make their way to Axel to sell feathers, leather, and fine fur. They also come to buy the beautiful rugs, clothes, and other decorative items from the villagers. Even though Axel is a popular spot to trade on the East side of Eldia it is barely known in the west.

Assets

Axel is well known for their clothing stores as well as blacksmiths. While the goods they produce are beautiful they are normally also purely for show and many weapons made in Axel are for ceremonies.

Guilds and Factions

Axel has almost no factions, besides small groups of blacksmiths or clothiers who regularly drink together.

Tourism

Axel is not known for it's tourism, however visitors will find joy in the many clothes and beautiful weapons the inhabitants sell. Because Axel gets little traffic the villagers will sometimes craft something for visitors if they give them material to use.

Architecture

The buildings of Axel are small houses made of wood. Almost all buildings are made on stone foundations and some are made of stone themselves.

Natural Resources

Axel's close proximity to Latom Forest means the village is regularly stocked with wood, meat, and fabric. Occasionally the adventurers of the town will bring back large game which brings a feast to the village.
