A town nestled deep within the Pines, Ruinica is the most successful town in the Pines, benefiting from it's location along a prominent route as well as a powerful militia to defend from the Pines creatures.

Human Led: Ruinica is a predominantly human settlement with little other species.

Government

Lord Oldaf: Ruinica is owned and ruled by Lord Oldaf, who oversees the town and sets taxes. These taxes are then used to build defenses, purchase supplies, and expand the town.

Defences

Wooden Palisade: Ruinica is surrounded by a large wooden palisade made from wood found within the Pines. This wall protects the town from Pines creatures, thieves, and Gnolls. This palisade is regularly patrolled by Ruinica's guard both inside and outside stopping even smaller, nimbler creatures from sneaking inside.

Industry & Trade

Travel: Ruinica's income is predominantly based on resupplying, stocking, and housing the many travelers that travel through the Pines as well as selling goods found in the Pines.

Well Made: The roads and buildings of Ruinica are well made and well maintained.

Assets

Equipment: Ruinica offers a number of equipment shops perfect for travelers to buy weapons, armor, and carriage equipment. These stores are the backbone of Ruinica's economy, building revenue for the town by selling to the travelers that trek through the Pines and, normally, need to restock after the long journey.
General Store: Ruinica's general store is a large building popular with adventurers due to its low selling prices and fair buying prices. This general store also has a small selection of potions and antidotes which an be a lifesaver for travelers afflicted with venoms, poisons, or injuries from the Pines.
Inn: Ruinica's inn is an ideal place for travelers to rest, offering comfortable beds and warm meals.
