There are five main people who making up the ruling class of Clearpeak. It’s a small village, mostly reliant on the college for its income and attraction. The Dean, Liesa Deramout, has quite a lot of influence over the Duke, Emmanuel Benoit, due to this fact.

The College of Clearpeak focuses on non-magical studies, and as such, there is very little magical presence within the village of Clearpeak, or the university itself. Its main programs include World History, Arithmetic, Astronomy, Music, Art, and Logic & Rhetoric. Students generally must pay to study at the College, with tuition fees starting from 300GP per annum, unless they are sponsored by a Professor. Depending on the course, they could be as high as 1500GP per annum, and each course lasts a minimum of 4 years, with some options to extend another 2 years for further study.
