Hithena

Hithena (pronounced Hi-theen-ah) is the true Goddess of Nature. While Dygnera may have created the world, it was Hithena that let it blossom into the beautiful place it is today; she carved the landscapes, sowed the forests, and capped the mountains with snow, creating the wonderous world before you.

Worship

"Bless the earth, sky, and all creatures; In forests green and rivers blue; Grant us harmony and peace; May your gentle touch never cease." - excerpt from a poem, written by Archdruid Eirik Jakobson, 1118AC
Hithena's worshippers are all those who revere nature at their core, whether it be druids and rangers, explorers, oceanographers, anyone who wishes to see the natural beauty Dascapus provides at the hands of Hithena. Formally, the various druidic orders across the face of Dascapus all pay reverence to Hithena, and are often seen as peaceful, but nature does often have a violent side when needed, and Hithena's druids are always ready to fight should the need arise.

Festivals

The main festival dedicated to Hithena is the Enchanted Gala, taking place on the eve of the last day of Early Summer. People often don whimsical costumes representing woodland creatures and mythical beings, while dancing through the night to folk music and celebrating nature's bounty with abundant food and drink, including fresh fruits and vegetables, honouring the gifts of nature. The festival grounds are often adorned with colourful ribbons and garlands, and the sweet scent of blooming flowers fills the air. The night is ended by the burning of an effigy of Hithena, giving thanks to her for the bounty of nature, and the ashes are then used to fertilise soil so crops may grow better.

Champions

Hithena's champions are often the leaders of the various druidic orders, but not exclusively so. Many are rangers, or explorers and adventurers who strive to understand and experience the beauty she offers.
