The Drow
Considering the Underdark as their domain to rule, the Drow have ruled in Lost Khadas for many centuries.
Historically they have barely concerned themselves with the Surface races, preferring to keep to their own more civilised society below ground. Notable exceptions to this include the Drow attack on Wildreach and the assistance of the Drow army in the fight against Issac Forthwind.
Drow society operates via Matriarchal rule, with females ruling their houses and taking up most revered and powerful positions.
Their society is very much about lavish and luxe lifestyles, and behaviour considered normal in Drow circles has often been referred to as 'depraved' by outsiders.
Backstabbing, blackmail and bribery are extremely common place in order to try and move up into higher society.
There have been two recorded uprisings in recent Drow history.
The first consisted of many high houses against Olaris Silverspear, and their loss resulted in many houses being eradicated. The remaining houses were all punished by their highest ranking female member being executed.
The second rebellion was led The Ragtags, and resulted in Ullina Silverspear killing her grandmother and mother, and taking over as the current Matriarch.
During her rule, a council has been established and all the high houses were forced to sign a peace treaty stating that they would not carry out an act of war against another house, on punishment of loss of title, possessions and even life.
This treaty has not been breached yet.
