The Full Truth

Unbeknownst to the population at large, the entire creation story of Dascapus is an elaborate lie created by Dygnera, the Old Goddess of Life.
After The Fated Four ventured beyond the Great Wall and into the Unclaimed Lands in the Late Summer and Early Autumn of 1462AC, they discovered evidence of an ancient lost civilisation. They furthered their exploration towards Limata Peak and discovered some of the civilisation still existed, to an extent.
The city of Atoros was built on the ruins of the ancient civilisation of the Gith, a species that does not exist in this world, or at least, not anymore. The Grandfather, the current leader of Atoros, revealed themselves to the group to be an ancient Time Dragon and a champion of Chronos, the forgotten God of Time. He showed the group what really happened, before Dygnera came to this world.
The Githyanki were a highly advanced species, marrying both magic and technology in harmony and allowing them to create things and explore as far as their ideas and dreams would take them, even going so far as to created a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence named Anima who they relied on to run the minutiae in their lives, as well assist in larger projects. They were a space faring species and masters of this world, which was once called Adlishar by them. Eventually, the Goddess Dygnera found this world, and sent her forces of abominations to destroy the Gith and cleanse the world. During this conflict, she unleashed the World Eater, a great beast of nigh-unstoppable power, who destroyed their cities and erased nearly all evidence that the Gith ever existed. Eventually, the beast went to slumber, and the Githyanki were no more - the only survivor being those that were off world at the time, and the Grandfather, although it was eventually revealed to the Fated Four that he was actually Githzerai, a subspecies of Gith who vehemently opposed their advanced way of life, although he rejected their teachings when he was a young boy.
When she arrived, Dygnera destroyed two of the world's gods, Masato and Korrana, although she wasn't quite strong enough to destory Chronos, so instead she stole his memories and scattered them across the globe. In the Gods' final death throes, they placed a barrier around what is now the Unclaimed Lands, and this barrier made it so no divine being could enter, and no person, mortal or otherwise, could enter or exit this part of the material plane.
Once the destruction calmed, Dygnera reshaped the world as she saw fit, and spawned the humans, elves, dwarves and other major species we see today. From there, the creation story is as true as has been told for millenia, but the real and bloody truth only remains in the minds of a very select few.
