Trial of the Four
A peninsula located at the very northwestern tip of the continent that is constantly ravaged by all four elements. This is in part due to being a landmass on top of the meeting of multiple tetonic plates, but also due to the direct influence by the Four themselves.
The area begins where the Greater Spine Mountains end. This is a heavily volcanic region, with a mix of lava flows and sulfuric vents. The latter is mainly found in the southwestern most part of the region, filling the air with toxic sulfuric gas and partly encircling it are numerous lava flows and a vast lava field. This lava is constantly dripping into the Great Waters to the west and north, resulting in scalding steam and roiling waters full of dangerous rocks that make it impossible to approach the area by sea. On top of this, the area is known to be frequented by Salrits.
For those that manage to make it past this area, enter section referred to as the 'spitting spires'. This part of the region is dominated by tall cone-shapedl pillars, many appearing to lean precariously. A number of these pillars are hollow and occasionally 'spit' water from the tip, hence the name. The water pillars closest to the lava fields have been known to be scalding hot, but water from the ones further way are much cooler. However, there are other dangers here: the pillars themselves form a confusing maze. Complicating things are the presence of Garlisk, their stoned victims further increasing the difficulty of the maze. Just flying through is often not a viable option, as the winds constantly howl here, threating to dash those on the wing into the stone pillars or down into the water below.
Beyond this area, is a narrow path along a cliff that is constantly hit by torrential rainfall. The rocks here are slick and the high winds make it difficult to keep from fallen into the ocean below. The not-common earthquakes that shake the entire region do not help in staying on ones feet either.
Past all this, at the very tip of the land, it is rumored there is a Tower, one that is the last remnant of a time and history that has been forgotten. This area, is said to be calm and free of the Four's fury and contains knowledge that has since been forbidden, but as of yet, no one succeeded in this journey to confirm this.

Known Inhabitants
Aside from the various types of Fallen, only the Yellow Hand has gained a foothold here. However, they are only interested in the sulfur deposits, thus have not bothered to venture deeper into the region.
