Centaurs

The centaur is a large creature that live in temperate forests. They can live solitary lives or live in small tribes.
A centaur has the upper body of a humanoid, and the lower body of a large horse. They stand around 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and weigh approximately 2,100 pounds (950 kilograms).
Centaurs are a strong and proud race. Although they typically strive to find peace and balance with nature, they can act with violence when the need arises. Despite this desire for balance, centaurs have to eat a lot to fuel their large bodies and are known to overindulge, especially with wine and ale. A drunken centaur is much more prone to aggressive and violent behavior.
Although some are solitary, centaurs generally live in tribal hunter-gatherer societies. Those that feel a sense of wanderlust to explore the world make excellent companions, and occasionally will offer a ride to allies. The suggestion that they be used as a pack animal however is met with derision.
They have good relations with elves, being as they are both creatures of the forest. They generally despise humans and dwarves but aren't actively hostile toward them and tolerate gnomes and halflings. It is said that centaurs have a superstitious fear of dragons and giants.
