Ilimahg of Kalukathai

Ilimahg of Kalukathai

Ilimahg is a Goliath residing in the Firesteap mountains with his nomadic tribe the Kalukathai. As a barbarian and protector of the tribe's revered shaman, Ilimagh was a warrior whose strength matched the very mountains that surrounded his people. A profound change occured when he began to hear a haunting voice in his mind, a voice that spoke with chilling authority and claimed itself to be the god Malar, deity of hunt and savagery. The voice urged Ilimahg to revel in the hunt, to embrace the beast within and pursue glory for his tribe. Torn between his duty to his tribe and the divine annoyance that echoed through his skull, llimahg confided in the tribe's shaman. The shaman, sceptical about the divine visitor, spoke of Beholders- abberations whose great eye has the ability to silence magic, and hopefully bring peace back to Ilimahg's mind. After the Spellplague, the Shaar region had become a wasteland, filled with chasms that led directly to the Underdark. That would be where Ilimahg would find a Beholder. Granted permission from the chieftan, Ilimahg set off Southward.

Social

Contacts & Relations

  • Tribe shaman: The 'wisewoman', just as respected as the Chieftan. Educated Ilimahg on basic survival and medicinal skills (though the medicine part Ilimahg was disinterested in - he's always wanted to be a warrior). One of the more important people on in his life, on the same par as his mother. She also taught him about the wider world - another subject not particulary interesting to Ilimagh at the time, though now he regrets not paying more attention..
  • Tribe chieftan: Leader of the Kalukathai. Respected above other tribe members. Patriarchal society
  • Mother: A barbarian. Stern but has a soft side. Ilimahgs biggest fan, they're close with each other & work together for the tribe
  • Father: A barbarian/ranger. Mostly in charge of hunting & protecting the tribes livestock. Ilimahg gets along with his dad but their relationship is nothing special. They have mutal respect for each other but since the society they live in is built on treating one another as kin this is a standard relationship for them.
  • Kalukathai tribe: Just in general I think that the Kalukathai tribe wouldn’t have a “traditional” family format, but rather treat each other in a familial way (excluding potential romantic partners). Basically, any other member of Ilimahgs tribe is considered Kin
