A Land of Scum and Villainy

Your adventure begins in the Shaar, a land filled with criminals, cults and wide plains slowly becoming a desert over the years. In these vast empty lands the human races are outnumbered with the most common peoples being the four-legged races of the lion-like Wemics and the half-horse Centaurs, the bipedal elephant people of the Loxo and the occasional insectoid Thri-kreen Hive.

The snake-like Yuan-ti, underground-dwelling elven Drow and occasionally the odd frog people of the Bullywugs compete to influence the Shaar from the shadows, frequently repelling the attempts of nearby human kingdoms to influence the Shaar in any way.
