The Council of the Eightfold Arts, a prestigious assembly of master mages, is divided into eight distinct arcane arts, each presided over by a Grand Archmage who is considered the ultimate master within their respective field. The diverse composition of the council reflects the variety of magical talents present in the realm:

• Abjuration: Sir Edwaff Toke, a Human mage who excels in protective magic.
• Conjuration: Sir Stephye, a Dragonborn mage with unparalleled expertise in summoning and teleportation.
• Divination: Lady Eryell "Eyes" Toke, an Aasimar of the Protector subrace, renowned for her insight and foresight.
• Enchantment: Lady Marget "Charm," a Tiefling mage who specializes in beguiling and captivating magic.
• Evocation: Sir Gauwilh, a Half-Elf mage whose mastery lies in the manipulation of raw elemental energy.
• Illusion: Lady Carais, an Elven mage known for her extraordinary skill in creating illusions and phantasmal artistry.
• Necromancy: This unique art is dual-headed, jointly held by Sir Hiles and Lady Joycie "Joy" Ged'de, combining the talents of a Human and a Tiefling mage. The art of life and death is embodied by this unusual partnership.
• Transmutation: Sir Guilheum, a Dwarf mage who has unraveled the secrets of altering and reshaping the very essence of matter.

Notably, the art of Necromancy has a duality that has endured throughout the annals of history. Either a single individual assumes both aspects, or a couple, like Sir Hiles and Lady Joycie, jointly hold the mantle, often forming their bond during the transition of Archmages within this unique field. This council, composed of these accomplished mages, plays a significant role in shaping the magical practices and knowledge within the realm.

Structure

Each member speaks as an equal to all the others. Below the Grand Archmages sits a number of Archmages. They all have a number of pages that run servants to them and their needs. (Red: Page is a servant). Some pages are wizards in training, some are noble borns sent to study and learn, in some odd cases they may be runts of the street taking in by a mage out of pity or other nefarious plans.

Public Agenda

Their primary goals are to unifiable promote and maintain magic as is known, between the individuals they may be more interested in advancing their own agendas.

Between the individual mage towers spread out over the lands. They do have a major complex in the major towns, such as Porthaethwy and <desert city>
