Lightning sandstorm of the Desert
As heat rises and meets the cold from the water around, a storm will brew, mixing with the magical and psionic properties of the land.
This storm roams over the lands, creating a rather violent and destructive lightning sand storm. Lightning strikes are numerous and powerful, in a brief instant they strikes the sand and instantly converts it into a crystalline rock. Sometimes the same crystalline rock are hit multiple times transforming it into a new type. The lightning strikes can go several feet down into the sands before they meet the right composition to interact with. Gathering the nearby materials and transforming it, the amount and quality decides how large of a crystal is created.
These two types of crystalline entities are highly sought after by the locals, and multiples of individuals or teams quickly sets out after a storm. They intent to collect and harvest all the crystals they can get their hands on. They will then sell them to the highest buyer, should they be lucky and find a levitation stone, they then could be set for life. (Had they not invested heavily into the gear and lifestyle).
