The first option, an academia pulsating with arcane energy, and the second, a choice between inns filled with sailors and the hustle near the gates. Opting for the latter, they discovered The Longtrail Inn and booked individual rooms, with Aukan choosing the solace of his own tent for rest.
Venturing toward the Academia, they encountered a landscape shaped by the influence of the arcane community, an impressive display of power. As Aukan attempted to set up his tent, the security alarm sounded, and guards swiftly intervened, claiming the arcane grounds were off-limits to common folk.
Kindly escorted to the inn, the heroes faced a diplomatic challenge. Aukan, showcasing his abilities, struck a deal with the innkeeper, promising two gold coins for a suitable common room. The innkeeper led him to rooms designed for Loxodons, Goliaths, and similar large individuals, where doorways towered at 9' tall and extra wide.
With the towers of each school visible in the distance, the central room beckoned. A clerk directed them to Professor Alexander's office, room 212. Yet, a closed door awaited them, prompting a turn to a passing individual for guidance. They were directed to the laboratory used by the professor and his apprentice, setting the stage for the next act in this unfolding epic.

Eldrin Swiftwhisper, the Arcane Aide, apprentice, TA, and PA to Professor Alexander, The Arcane Pursuer, greeted them with a tale of the professor's whereabouts. The professor, it seemed, was on a hunt for a vestige, a quest that led them on a merry chase just outside Port Haethwy. Transport proved a challenge – Aukan's strength could crush a horse, and Mòr had little inclination for equestrian affairs. Eldrin, resourceful as ever, found a wagon in the stables, while Seraph summoned his spectral horse with a whistle. Damien's horse, however, required a bit more effort. Approaching the town, evidence of magical combat painted the scene. The professor leaned against a tree, an assailant with a rapier held to his chest, curses hanging in the air. Three other individuals were scattered across the townside. The heroes, swift and resolute, initiated combat, dispatching the common bandits with practiced ease.
