Sandshaper's Path
Sandshaper's Path
2nd-level transmutationCasting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S, M (a small vial of sand)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour
Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard
Description: This spell allows the caster to manipulate and shape the desert sands beneath the vessel, creating a smoother, more level surface, and reducing friction for more efficient travel. Casting: When you cast this spell, you must be within 30 feet of the vessel you intend to affect. As you cast the spell, you draw a path in the sand with the small vial of sand, and the path you draw becomes the "Shaper's Path." This path can be up to 10 feet wide and extends up to 60 feet in the direction you choose. Smoothed Terrain: The sands within the Shaper's Path are magically smoothed and compacted, providing an ideal surface for the vessel to travel on. The vessel moving within this path experiences significantly reduced resistance and increased speed. Duration: You must concentrate to maintain the Sandshaper's Path. As you move, the path extends with you, and you can continue shaping the sands for up to 1 hour as long as your concentration is not broken. Terrain: This spell works best on open desert sands but can also be used on other sandy surfaces. It doesn't affect rocky or solid terrain. Terrain Alteration: The spell does not create permanent changes in the landscape. Once the spell's duration ends, the sands return to their natural state.
