Units
Between the lords and commanders he has assigned the right people at the right locations with new replacements ready to step up when required. There are commanders and lords covering the regiments and roles that are needed.
Beginning with the respective regiments and companies, they cover their respective fields of operations. Most of the units are patrolling the lands, this goes on rotation, meaning you will during one period be going to one place. As your units returns you'll be either patrolling a new area or doing home reinforcements. There are some downtime after a patrol, while another unit goes out.
Supporting all this is a rather large logistic force, doing all the jobs of food, medical and bringing all the gear required.
Personel and Races
All the races are also seperated under a race lord, which speaks their needs at the Lord's Table. The good majority of people at humans. Supported by elves, dwarves, minotaurs, centaurs. All the other races are only represented in minor quantities.
A good part of the roles are mainly in the martials - Fighters (Champions / ), Paladins (Devotion), Rangers (Beast master/Hunter). The second most represented would be the supporting roles of Clerics (all domains), Bards (all), Third comes at the Arcanes Wizards (all)/Sorcerer(Dragon).
The other supporters/logistics would be Rogues (as scouts and urban environments), Arcane Tricksters, Eldritch Knights are only represented so much.
Society, Bureaucracy, Leadership
Most knights tends to bring their families with them to the main city, those lucky enough to acquire a loved one. Most never make it that far, between deaths, injuries, mental conditions and patrolling the lands. They have little time to actually tend to a family. If you are a noble and have been sent for your training, gaining a wife and family will be a question of allegiances and connections.
