Week 1
Getting ready for my next campaign and my players are requesting a whole new world. I've decided to use the WorldEmber Event for additional motivation towards getting a good boost on this project. Since I am starting with a whole new world, I am going to be focusing on building the foundations.
Week 2
I have completed the world meta for Dawn of Others. I've set up the categories in a way that I think will work for this world. The concept for this world was developed a while ago, back in 2021. Because of that I didn't need to go looking for inspiration. We already knew as a group what kind of world we were looking to play in next. My inspiration sources are included in my meta page for the world.
Week 3
Got the home page up. This week spent some time really looking at making sure this page is the best introduction I can offer. I'm sure that this page will have to continue to change and evolve as I build this world, but starting with a fleshed out homepage has helped set the tone for the world. I didn't put any effort into the home page of my last world and I'm glad that I am doing that with this one. With this world, I am starting with less. Having a fleshed out homepage feels like having a foundation to work from when it comes to the look and themes of the site as a whole.
Week 4
I'm not really feeling that there is much last minute prep to do. I already have a dedicated work space that I write and stream from. This means that it is already set up in a way that works well for my work flow. I have been writing all Novemeber and it has been really good. I wrote 16,762 words into Dawn of Others so far this month. This is a really good writing pace that I am really happy with. I have been able to find a rhythm of writing some before I got to work every day as well as having most of Saturday being for writing. This has allowed me to really keep it framed in my schedule so that I am not neglecting my adulting duties or self care. For me to get this world build for my players, I will need to keep writing well past World Ember. For me, this is mostly about figuring out a good balance and sustainable pace because I need writing to be a part of my life. World Ember came at a really good time to help as an external motivator to get things going.

Thank you so much! The timing was perfect. We just finished our previous campaign and it was time to start working on this new world! I'm hoping that the external motivation will help keep me on track!
That does sound like perfect timing. If your players are anything like mine there will be plenty of external motivation! :D
LOL! They are pretty good about giving me space and time to do things. So, they don't tend to apply much pressure to get things done. It's nice, but there's also no external motivation there either.
