Human, Heart of Bichport - Elysant is not a young woman but, as with many Valorans, she has retained her beauty. Her hair is coal-black with streaks of white and she smiles easily. Many in court describe her brown eyes as being lit with "kindness and wisdom. Elysant has been the Heart of Bichport and the Duchesse de Mereliot for some time, succeeding her mother. As the leader of the port city, she has a natural affinity to the sea. She has two children, her daughter and heir Aalina de Mereliot and a son Talbot de Mereliot. By the time of Dabu Greenland invasions, she rarely spends time in the Valorim. With the constant threat of a massive land invasion being imminent, the Duschesse is always on the move. She is seen in many meetings in her war room with is military cabinet and fellow nobles of her house. He son Talbot has been a powerful influence in both Bichport and Valorim, working tirelessly for military and commercial resources to keep his home well-fortified against the Dabu forces.
After the initial invasion from the neighbors to the east, she was summoned to a meeting of powerful and trusted peers of the realm where she is told of the impending counter-offensive to be started from her city. While not trained formally in military tactics, she has worked well to hold the line against the powerful Dabu forces both on land and at sea.
