Frozen Deadlands

In the northeast of Nemed lies a cold, desolate wasteland known as the Frozen Deadlands. The region always has strong winds sweeping across the deep valleys that speckle its interior between the many mountain ranges, producing huge snow drifts that are often tens of feet deep and miles across. The edges of the region are arguably its most dangerous feature. The water around it has been frozen for centuries but varies greatly in thickness from a few hundred feet to mere inches in places. Due to the changing of the seasons, the undocumented landscape seems to be eternally shifting, with chunks of ice breaking off or reattaching to mainland seemingly at random.
Home of the kenku, this frozen expanse is home to many unknowns throughout its cavernous mountains. Little is known about their culture, but there are many legends about them.
