Bighorn Sheep

Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep

The Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep's main habitat is the Grizzlies region. They are herbivores, mainly consuming grasses and sedges, but they will also eat woody plants in the winter. Both rams and ewes have horns. However the ram's horns are far bigger and more impressive than the ewes. They can usually be found in groups of various sizes with various ram and ewe ratios and while ewes tend to be rather skittsh and docile the rams most certainly are not. They're very protective of their herd and very confrontational.
