Wintergreen Berry is a low growing shrub that is identifiable by the evergreen leaves and red berries. These shrubs can be found in woodlands and forests in the northern regions of Ambarino and New Hanover. The plant can be used in the crafting of predator bait as bears are very fond of the sweet berries.
If you know what to look for Wintergreen Berries can be a true saviour due to its healing properties. Furthermore it can be used to create the most delicious of jams.
However, with this comes a word of caution as they are easily confused with their much more poisonous cousins. It is recommended to always test these berries first by cutting them open and rubbing some on the arm or lips. if the berries taste bitter or cause blistering, best to stay away. You wouldn't be the first to perish out in the wild due to poison berries!
