Expedition
Legion centurdas Vernon Archung sailed a small fleet of three ships to the Island Cluster, landing on what is now known as Port Brimsey. His troops interacted with the native Selkies there and built an outpost out of the local materials. About twenty days later, Archung left to report his findings back to the Empire's Counsel in Central Laufai.
The year was 482 Imperial Era, according to the calendars of the Zeri Empire. Legion centurdas Vernon Archung was tasked with searching for island checkpoints between Laufai and Faramine for the sake of constructing outposts. Such outposts, the counsel determined, would prove beneficial to trade between the two nations should Southern Faramine accept such an agreement. It would also act as a foothold for conquest should the nation not do so. After nearly a month of searching, Vernon Archung's fleet of four ships landed. They located the most hospitable and largest island within the cluster; the landmass today known as Port Brimsey. As they set up in the south eastern part of the island, the native Ocean-kin greeted the group. Vernon Archung, himself uninterested in trying to communicate with the natives, left half the fleet upon the island to continue setting up as he sailed back to inform the Empire's Counsel of the happenings.
