With the Horse on fire and the cart slightly damaged
Volkar and
Calia hightailed it away from the Tavern. However they did end up in the middle of a gathering of some sort, after which
Sherdic caught up and incanted a spell which seemingly activated a device on the cart which would act as a bomb of some sort.
Meanwhile, the Tooks where lost in the
Dragon Streets, where they where treated with scorn and hostility by the locals. Eventually resulting in them running amok with a locla gang of some sort and combat ensued.
While Volkar attempted so steer through the crowd
Calia tried her hardest to find the device. Which she didn't, but she did find a stack of letters hidden away in the cart.
After a short-lived fight between the Tooks and the Bandits the Halflings came out on top, and even ensured the crooks wouldn't perish, but did help themselves to the gold of the KO'd Men. After this various locals came out and sought answers to the turmoil. Not long more bandits came from the tavern on the opposite side of the courtyard, after which the Tooks bid a hasty retreat.
Not sure all stones where unturned,
Volkar pulled over and once more bid
Calisia to seek for the device, which she found hidden behind an illusion between the cart's suspension. With the help of a local bakcsmith, a
Half-Elf by the name
Leonhard, who took care of the device, after which
Volkar disposed of it by handing it of to a fisherman.
With the cart secure, it was delivered to
House Merkatz. The lady was quite displeased by the state of the cart, the lacking drivers as well as the "Other things". Ensureing the group received 25 GP, a minor fraction of the possible payout.
With this endeavor closed, all regrouped back at the
The Friendly Kobold, here they learned about a sailor seeking for
Calia as well as a "Chair Tax". This sailor returned not long after and when
Calia and
Volkar arrived he ensured the lot made their way over towards the
Ankerpiers Naval Port, where Ensign
Brecher was waiting for them.
At the Naval port, the group was offered three possible rewards for their heroism on the previous day, and following the pleas from the Halfling the group now was the proud owner of a ship, the
Porpoise. Another minor request followed, and the group made their way over to the
Dockyard where they should hand over a document satchel. But when they entered the yard, a drunk sailor approached them and sought their assistance with retrieved something from their ship.
