Soul Wood

A powerful substance harvested from the Gnomish Family Trees, it's highly valued by the Forest-Gnomes due to it's ritualistic potential, which brings them closer to their dead ancestors. The other nations, most importantly Rock-Gnomes, hight value it as well as it has immense magical potential, especially in necromantic rituals. The substance is quite rare however as only small quantities are harvested from living Family Trees, with large quantities only being available from dead trees. WHich happens almost never.

Manufacturing process

Grown from Family Tree, with an average tree only shedding a single branch per year, which are carefully harvested by the Elder of the Family tree.

Significance

Highly coveted by Forest-Gnomes, and desired by Rock-Gnomes.

Rarity

Rare for small quantities (<1 lbs), Legendary for anything larger.
