The Abyssal Rock

A cluster of small islands, most of these are vulcanic, 1,700 miles to the West of Godelan's Haven. The total land-mass of these is about 40% of the size of Godelan's Haven (27,644 square miles). A significant part (~30%) of the Island is almost uninhabitable due to the active vulcanos on the southern side. The Habitability of the remainder varies from dense jungles to ash planes. Its population comprises mostly Fire Genasi but various other races, among which Rock-Gnome and Dark-Elves, also live there. After the Discovery of the Island by the First Royal Expedition, by Helinda Liudgersdotir, a small outpost was created on one of the northern islands which was quite furtile due to the nearby vulcanoes. This ouput facilitates trade and repairs, and is called The Homely Hearth.
