Limerick Forest
I
n the country of Newbeech there are only small portions of land not covered in vast thick forest. The forest that stretches across its area is known as the Limerick Forest. This area of the world still stands mostly untouched by the civilizations that have grown around it.
Many creatures, beasts, and other living civilizations call this forest their home and will be directly affected by the encroachment of industrial projects.

Ecosystem
Limerick Forest is so large that there are multiple different areas that intertwine into one full dynamic ecosystem. Along the southern portion is the deciduous trees that grow steadily looking out at the horizon where the sun rises. This area is the most alive, creatures and beasts of all types make their homes in the deep dark underbrush as well as the tall workable treetops. As it is the most welcoming to life, this portion of the forest also is the most traveled by humanoids. The trees block out most of the sunlight so underneath the treetops is a dark damp and cool.
The northern portion of the forest sees more of the coniferous trees, ones with the capability to handle the harsher winds and temperatures as they run up the side of mountains. There is less life in this area but it still is inhabited by the likes of large animals such as bear and elk. The trees remain close and thick so it is a natural barrier to those arriving from any direction.
Cycles
Only about a quarter of the forest is coniferous and remains the same all year round. Most of the forest sees changes as the hemisphere heads into its colder months. The leaves on most of the trees turn from deep green to browns, reds, and yellows. As the autumn turns to winter, many of the trees lose their leaves entirely leaving a much more barren visual. Though the natural cover of these leaves my go, the thickness of the trees still makes it a difficult land to navigate for those not used to it.
Natural Resources
As with any large forest, Limerick Forest is a target for many lumber resource companies. The biggest threat to date however is the town of Arbor Harbor that was recently established on the coast of Newbeech. This town centers around its lumber exports and as demand continues to grow from the southern countries, so too will the push to cut deeper into the forest.
