Deoryüm

Created by

A broken world of shattered hopes and split nations, Deoryüm is a world of boundless possibility but endless destruction. Though the people of this world are lost, pained, and living just to see tomorrow, there is energy beneath the ground that the truly hopeful can feel. There is something special that exists, and it is simply up to you to find it.   Deoryüm was once a whole, bustling world of trade and progress, filled with high hopes and even higher dreams. But 504 years ago, a calamity struck the world at large: all the gods suddenly vanished. Every divine influence, every power of those greater, was suddenly inaccessible to the world at large. Clerics and Paladins lost their powers, powerful churches and religious organizations fell into ruin, angels and demons alike vanished.   This left Deoryüm in a time of Darkness, where those who sought to destroy were free to do so, relishing in their newfound power now that the strongest protectors of the world were suddenly powerless. Entire Empires fell and habitable land rapidly receded from those left alive. The World Population dropped significantly, and technological advancements ground to a sudden halt. Though there were certainly those out there who did not wholly rely on the gods or divine power, they were few and far between, and served to only be able to reliably protect small sections of civilization. The rest were set to fend for themselves.   400 years later, on the first day of the new year, 400 NA, the presence and influence of the gods returned. But, their selves did not. Clerics and Paladins regained their powers, those who drew from the Ley Lines once again could, the sun began to regain its bright glow. Angels and Demons began to be sighted again, but they were noticeably exceedingly rare. Slowly but surely the civilized world regained their lands, power, and influence, but the world had certainly been changed for good.   Deoryüm is now a fraction of what it once was, and over 500 years after the calamity that was Kudamitas, it is still rebuilding. Only the strongest of island nations have been able to restore themselves to something that could be compared to former glory. And though it is impossible to say whether or not an apocalypse of this magnitude could once again occur, the world of Deoryüm will continue to push forward, hellbent on its own survival.
