Eldest of 5, and only male child, of a poor elven family in Parow Valley. He showed signs of magic from a young age, which was always refered to as "the family curse" - at the time his magic started showing, an uncle had recently died who had also had uncontrolled magic, and it was assumed the "curse" had passed to the next living male on in the family.
Aged 13, Eke and his sisters were taken to see a circus that had pitched up on the outskirts of town. A knife thrower asked for a volunteer, offering a silver coin for their help. Eke was pushed forward by his mother, who shouted "for a gold piece you can keep him", to which the audience laughed.
The knife thrower purposefully threw his last blade a little too close and nicked his ear, so that they could bundle him out the back to "heal" him before returning to his family. Eke was asked by the ringmaster did he wish for them to give that gold coin to his mother, with the promise of making money of his own working with them.
Eke asked if he could think about it, planning himself on running away with the circus when they left in a few days time, and not leaving his mother anything.
Eke's next memory is waking up on the other side of the country with the circus. It transpired that his mother had been paid over 200 gold pieces for him.
He spent the next 20 years with the group, with a few book-taught magic users trying to help him control the magic abilities he had. After an incident with an audience member, he left the circus with next to no belongings, and very little money to his name.
He now keeps merticulous notes on how his magic works, in the hopes of aiding anybody else he finds in his predicament. He has travelled the world seeking answers as to what the blue marks on his skin are, and has written at great lengths about magical theory and how it can be manipulated. Eke has created many spells which he keeps to his self, as the magic academies on this side of the world do not approve of experimentation.

During his time in the circus, he was taught to read and write in Common, Elven and Halfling. He also discovered a knack for learning languages, as the woman who taught the young recruits was highly educated person herself and taught him basic pleasantries in as many languages as she knew.
He has since gone on to devise his own magical notatation, and develop his own spells based off this.

Has held many different types of jobs, often working for board on farms (both crops and livestock), or lending a hand clearing out monsters form properties.
Due to some of his magic capabilties, he often seeks out work finding missing items and people, and tailors the price for these services to the income of the people he is working for.

Very keen on keeping a clean appearance - will quietly use magic to clean his clothes at every opportunity, and enjoys finding a corner in a bathhouse to relax.

Has not seen or spoken to a member of his family since his mother sold him to the circus.

Will stop by a temple of The Silver Dragon when he comes across one to leave a silver coin on the altar, but if asked about religion he will answer with "the Gods are the Gods, respect them and they leave you be."
