Gamanovaian
The Gamanovaia people were a group of people who lived on the Gamanova Isles, a collection of floating islands off the west coast of Sil.
During the Aguilla Nebular, a large meteor shower observed on this side of Der'Nomic, a large meteorite struck the largest of the floating islands. As a result, the ancient magic that suspended the islands suddenly dispelled around a number of the smaller islands, causing them to plumet into the sea many miles below.
The council decided to evacuate, and contacted the Dursalca Magic Academy to grant them access to investigate once they had all left.
As the last Gamanovian boarded the airship to leave, the final main islands plummeted to the sea.
They were granted a collection of islands off the coast of Sil, not too far from where their homes once were, and currently trade in specialised arcane technologies, using salvaged materials that wash up on their "temporary" shores.
Their new home has been dubbed "New Gamanovia", and it is an island wide secret that they are trying to take to the skys once more.

Major language groups and dialects
The majority of Gamanovians speak Common and another language - either of Elven, Gnomish and Dwaven depending on who they commonly trade with on the main land.

Common Dress code
The majority of traditional dress involves feathers, as birds were the main source of meat when the islands floated. Currently, Gamanovians wear common clothes such as tunics, trousers and skirts, coloured by the natural dyes from the plants on their new home.
Coming of Age Rites
To ascend into adulthood, a teenager must literally ascend - vertically, in the air.
Magic is taught alongside reading and writing among the Gamanovian people, and to learn to float is seen as a rite of passage to becoming an adult.
