Session XXIV - 27.04.2021

General Summary

• The events start with Barakas and Athanatos still being in the rapture within the Wandering Emporyum. Barakas manages to retrieve the magical collar that Lulu was wearing when she arrived at the Wandering Emporyum. After some trouble with a halfling and some bouncers, Barakas and Athanatos eventually manage to escape the rapture with the collar. Furthermore, they manage to smuggle Laenwynn out (part of the deal with her after she told Barakas and Athanatos about the collar).
• The party meets again at the Infernal Warmachine. Here, the group shows the collar to Lulu who is immediately overwhelmed by memories. She sees herself in her true form: That of a giant golden mammoth. She remembers how Zariel found her high on Mount Celestia ages ago and they formed a bond in which Lulu would serve as Zariel's mount. These 'flashbacks' are shared with the group so that everyone can experience these events. She asks the group for some rest as she needs to process these new information concerning her past.
• Thereafter, the group tries to help Laenwynn: She is bound to Mahadi by a Geas spell which will result in her dying from horrible pain after her escape from the rapture. It takes the combined efforts by the primary spellcasters in the group to dispel this extraordinarily powerful spell. As she has nowhere to go, she will stay with the group in the Infernal Warmachine and helps the group to the best of her abilities.
• After a long rest, the group decides to meet up with the worshippers of Tiamat who asked Jo to join her cult. Interestingly, Hecutis shows up (winged dragon creature) and offers Jo and her "servants" (the rest of the group) to go on a pilgrimage to where Tiamat resides. After some debate back in Infernal Warmachine, the group agrees as this may reveal more about Jo's pursuers. Also, the group hopes to get a scale of Tiamat in this way (necessary for Mad Maggie's ritual to restore Lulu's memory). Of note, Hecutis demands to cast a divination spell onto Jo after the initial meeting as Jo first wanted to discuss this with the group and take care of some unfinished business.
• Hence, the group will now go onto an infernal pilgrimage ...
