Desmeron

The world of Desmeron is on the verge of a cultural shift. The floating holy city of Cambria is on the path of conquest. The prophet, Father Solomon, leads a radical group of believers known as the Church of the Phoenix. His holy city, resting high above the Sodom Below, seeks to convert or destroy any that would stand in the way of his vision of the future. For those baptized by the fire, the world is preparing for the Age of Bounty. The only thing that stands between them and the future is finding the Daughter.   But the City of Cambria is much more than meets the eye. On the surface, it is the gleaming jewel of her Father's creation, but below that lies the will of dark forces. Cultists practice their arts in abandoned homes and warehouses. A killer stalks the back alleys, searching for the next person to use in their dark ritual. In the poverty stricken lower districts, where the guard fear to tread, dissidents and criminals gather in dimly lit taverns and secret meeting places.   The city is the greatest enemy to those below, and also to itself. The prophet watches over all, and if he finds the Daughter, he won't be stopped. The question still remains, will those who lurk in the deep find her first? And will she be a hero? Or a weapon?
