Esteriks last stand

Esteriks last stand is now a ruin of a city whose name is long forgotten, but the deeds of those who defended it live on forever. A great general, Esterik, took his last remaining forces to defend the city in a final stand, while holding off the monsters so civilians could escape for an incredible 3 days. Every citizen was able to escape, although Esterik and his entire army fell to the largest monster hoard ever seen, though not before decimating most of the force. It has since been repaired and turned into a monument for the heroes who served there, and to all who have fallen in incursions. No grief attempts have ever been made, and it is a place of great reverence.
