Frostfall Outfitters is a general store in Sivien specifically designed to cater to explorers, tourists, and travelers. It sells the general goods most stores in the area do, like food, fire starters, wood, and the like, but it also stocks more interesting and even magical items that could be useful to those who journey out into the frigid wasteland. Below are some of the technologies and their corresponding prices.
Self-warming rations 5 silver ea. (which many people use to warm their hands)
Soup generating thermos 50 gold (capable of creating 1 warm soup per day)
Hot gloves 35 gold (capable of summoning a small flame 3 times per day)
Pelt tent 50 gold (capable of transforming from a pelt to a tent 1x per day and vice versa)
Anti-slip boots 40 gold
Self propelled sled 100 gold (30 feet per round, capable of carrying 300 lbs.)
In addition, Frostfall Outfitters stocks rare and sometimes more novelty items for those who are willing to spend more money.
Ever-Ice 10 GP for a piece or 25 gold/ square ft. Ever-Ice is ice that lasts permanently, and never melts. It can be used to chill drinks and similar ice related jobs without the worry of water being generated from it.
Navigation snow globe 400 GP The Navigation snow globe allows for a person to see a projection of the stars above them at any point in the day no matter the position. With this, navigation in caves, in the day, or in otherwise starless areas is treated as if the person making the navigation check has stars.
Blizzard's embrace cloak 200 GP The Blizzard's embrace cloak magically shields the wearer from wind across the tundra, creating a forcefield around them and making them resistant to cold damage from non-magical sources.
Snowfall Satchel 100 GP The Snowfall satchel appears as a bag of holding, but is capable of only holding ice. The satchel can generate up to 10 cubic feet of snow per day, resetting at dusk.
Ice dragon's Ire The Ice Dragon's Ire is a rare spear created only once every decade, with each successive spear only going to the highest bidder or the most daring hero. To be made, an adult or older Ice dragon must be killed, and then it's now ownerless magic must be channeled into the spear. Though much of the magic is lost in the transfer, a degree remains, and with it the magic of the spear is infused. Though each spear is slightly different in the powers it has, with older dragon spears being more powerful, the following are general properties that can be found in any given spear.
-Attack bonus: ranges from +1 to +3, Though +2 is the most common. -Damage aid: the spear deals an additional 2d8 cold damage on a hit. -The wielder is immune to cold damage if attuned and holding the weapon. -Dragon's bane: the weapon deals an additional 2d8 damage to dragons
As mentioned, the above are generalizations, and each generation of weapon the properties change. The owner of Frostfall Oufitters, Toblin Stonehill, sells these weapons as a sort of tradition, carrying on his grandfather's legacy of doing so.
