The Frosty Flagon

On the nicer, Northern part of town, a bar called the Frosty Flagon dominates the tavern industry for the rich. The chandeliers are made of Ever-Ice, with new aged electric lights illuminating the bar with a comfortable light. Though only two stories tall, the tavern boasts 30 rooms for travelers to stay in, as the tavern basement serves as the main storage, cooking, and utilities area. The second floor is half for the actual bar and half for 15 rooms, while the upstairs is entirely dominated by living space; the remaining 30 rooms and a common room with maps, books, and various curios within to fascinate the guests. The owner, Alma Colt, is a retired adventurer who struck it rich and started his tavern for like minded individuals, though it has been largely dominated by rich individuals too civilized for a true thrill. The rooms are well furnished, though not lavishly, and give the rich an experience of "the frontier" that still keeps them comfortable. Of course, few know what the actual frontier is like, but it makes money nonetheless. Each room includes a large bed, a bookshelf full of useful books, a drawer, a bathroom, a closet, and other various pieces of furniture. The Frosty Flagon also has several services for it's patrons, namely equipment rental, tour guides, and postal services. The tours are exclusively in places that are well explored, such as ruins, old monster lairs, and stunning natural formations. All of these areas are perfectly safe to those who are smart, but the tour guides play up the danger so as to give their patrons an experience that satisfies them. The tavern keeps ale, and beer as well as fine wine for formal events, which are hosted by reservation as well as yearly during the first day of The Days of Dark, when the rich adventurous type gather here to have a refined ball until the light lifts. The tavern also serves a special type of drink, deemed Tundra Tea, to warm travelers with magical spices sourced from the surrounding areas, making the drinks worth a small fortune. The food is also locally sourced, though it varies in quality, which is by design. The Flagon serves fine meals for the comfort of it's patrons, though it also serves less refined meals for those who want to experience a true taste of the glacier life. The more refined meals go by enticing names such as Polar Bear Poutine, Penguin Pasta, Seal soup, Killer Whale Caviar, and other varios monikers, though none of these names accurately tell the eater the ingredients. This is in fact all for show, because very few who stay here could stomach the meals as they are described.
