Nephrite

Nephrite Disario

Physical Description

Special abilities

As an experienced hunter, Nephrite has honed her combat skills to a high level. She is a master of various weaponry, employing both traditional arms and specialized tools to combat her supernatural foes. Nephrite combines her physical agility, keen intellect, and a deep understanding of her adversaries' weaknesses to gain the upper hand in battle.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Nephrite grew up in a world where she witnessed the consequences of individuals exploiting their afflictions for nefarious purposes. This fueled her desire to bring justice to those who misuse their supernatural abilities. Her own experiences as a hunter of vampires, zoanthropes, and criminal immortal-blooded have shaped her into a formidable and skilled adventurer.

Gender Identity

Nephrite identifies fully as female, but she doesn't like being referred to or thought of as a "lady." She associates the term with women who are perceived as soft and sweet, which is not how she sees herself or wants to be seen by others.

Sexuality

While Nephrite may not have a strong innate sexual desire, she remains open to engaging in intimate encounters or sharing a bed when the opportunity arises. She clarifies that she is not aromantic, but her current lifestyle keeps her occupied and prevents her from actively pursuing romantic relationships.

Employment

Nephrite is an independent adventurer who has garnered a reputation for herself as a skilled hunter specializing in tracking down vampires, zoanthropes, and immortal-blooded individuals involved in criminal activities. Her expertise lies in combating these supernatural threats and ensuring the safety of others.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Nephrite has accomplished many impressive feats, including single-handedly slaying a thieves' guild consisting entirely of wererats, revealing and killing a vampire that had infiltrated a beast king's court with the intention of assassinating the king and council, and eliminating a cabal of lemegeton that sought to open a hell gate. She is still in pursuit of the remnants of the cabal.

Morality & Philosophy

According to Nephrite, she doesn't hold a grudge against vampires, zoanthropes, or immortal-blooded individuals in general. Her concern lies with those who use their affliction as an excuse to commit heinous acts, exploiting the negative stereotypes associated with their kind. Nephrite firmly believes that individuals with these conditions could use their unique abilities for good purposes, and she strives to show them a better path.   However, she makes an exception for zoanthropes who contracted their condition rather than being born with it, as they often struggle to control their bestial impulses. In such cases, Nephrite seeks to capture these individuals and either cure them of their affliction or, if that's not possible, put them out of their misery in a humane way to prevent them from causing further harm.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Driven by her firm belief in the potential for good within all individuals, Nephrite seeks to guide those with supernatural afflictions onto a better path. She aims to challenge the negative stereotypes surrounding vampires, zoanthropes, and immortal-blooded individuals and prove that they can use their unique abilities for positive and noble purposes.

Likes & Dislikes

Nephrite has developed a strong taste for raw meat dishes and lightly seared meats, perhaps reflecting her affinity for the primal and natural aspects of life. She finds solace in simple pleasures, often seeking moments of solitude in nature to reflect and recharge.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"The beast blood didn't turn you into a monster. It only gave you an excuse to start acting like one." - a line she has repeated in some variation to nearly all of her targets who insist their affliction is to blame for their actions.
