Structure
The God-king wields absolute power over the empire, and advisory positions below him are traditionally passed down through the eldest son. The advisory council includes the Steward, War Chief, Treasurer, Court Mage, and nine Magistrates. However, the God-king possesses the freedom to replace advisors as he sees fit.
The Steward oversees the day-to-day operations of the empire and ranks second in authority, unless stated otherwise. The War Chief manages the military and provides advice to the God-king on strategic matters, as well as collaborating with the Steward on diplomatic affairs. The Treasurer holds responsibility for managing the empire's finances, including tax collection and allocation. The Court Mage advises the God-king on magic-related matters and supports the capital with their magical abilities. Each of the nine Magistrates presides over one of the empire's city-states and has a pair of advisors, typically a Steward and Court Mage.
Culture
The Vrithmen are a society with a long-standing warrior culture that has historically kept them divided. This is due to the fact that few invaders have been able to successfully cross The Vrith and pose a real threat to them. However, in recent times, the ongoing conflict between the Northern Empire and The Southern Clans has given the Vrithmen a means to fight to earn and uphold their honor.
Public Agenda
The Northern Empire's goal is to reunite the Southern Clans with the Empire and unite all the people of The Vrithlands under its banner.

Currency
The Northern Empire uses the standard world currency of coins made from precious metals. Imperial coins are specifically cast with the God-king's image.
Legislative Body
The Northern Empire's laws are established solely by the God-king, with the counsel of his advisors. The Magistrates are authorized to issue laws within their respective city-states, but only with the consent of the God-king or his Steward.
Judicial Body
The Magistrates and their Stewards are tasked with interpreting the God-king's decrees and implementing them in their respective territories.
The Northern Empire's legal system is founded on the principle of "guilty until proven innocent," with judges appointed by each region's magistrate presiding over cases. Punishments for guilty verdicts can range from public humiliation and physical punishment to isolated confinement and even execution. The severity of the punishment is determined by the nature of the crime and the judge's discretion. With such a harsh legal system, the people of the Northern Empire must tread carefully to avoid any accusations that could lead to their downfall.
