Nashashuk
In the ideas of capitals and cities, Nashashuk is wholly unique.
Unique in the sense that it is neither of those things.
Nashashuk is named as the capital of a collection of tribes that are, ostensibly, many different societies. Some nomadic, some sedentary. Some forgo the use of horses, or godcraft that makes travel easier. The point attempting to be made is that they are all, themselves, unique. Not all of them would recognize an urban capital as to having any authority.
Nashashuk is the compromise.
It is a single building constructed from wood, sitting deep in the woods. There are no rooms, just one large chamber with a sizable fire-pit in the center. Here, tribal medicine men and women meet to discuss matters of importance.
It takes a lot for a meeting to take place in Nashashuk, as most tribes will simply take car of their own matters. So if one does see medicine men traipsing towards the place, know that something big is happening.
