Shandoalia

The final celebration, at least wide spread one, that is done in Laidros before winter fully sets and people batten down the hatches for the snow and biting cold.
Gifts are regularly exchanged on all societal levels, while families and their friends gather within homes and heated plazas for one final revelry to ring in the new year. The upper crust of society will often throw balls and dances in perpetuity building up to the day of the actual celebration, less as a celebration and more as a way to try and flaunt their wealth and property, though I don't believe any of the participants are complaining.
