Deus Irae: Falling Night

I heard, long ago and from a goddess that said she walked between realms, that many realms out there don't believe in gods. Or live separate from them. Or worship them, despite not knowing if they're there or not. Some even think their gods metaphors for the world around them.   I'm not sure I believe her. Whether she was yanking my chain or not, it got me thinking about the whole thing.   I've been saved by a god on the battlefield more times than I can count. Been nearly killed by just as many. Can't help but wonder which way would be better...
