Rail-Away
The Seekers Guide to Twisted Taverns Pg. 20
Is it the destination or the journey that’s more important? On the Rail-Away, the industrial crew have decided to offer both! This traveling tavern’s tracks can run through any number of locations to suit your campaign—above ground and below, between cities and towns, through the countryside, over the mountains, or along the coast. The track can be circular for an infinite loop to bring you back to where you started, or an end-to-end journey with adventure along the way.
As a variant way to play using this book, the Rail-Away can serve as a cruise vessel that visits all the other taverns in order. The adventures found on the Rail-Away are intended for characters level 5 to 10. The tavern can be played as a temporary location, serving as a respite from dangerous adventures. Alternatively, you can play through its combination of quests and a murder mystery event using the NPCs provided.
While how frequently the Rail-Away stops at stations is at the GM’s discretion, some quests require at least a day of travel time between stops to allow player characters time to adventure. Stops can also be instigated by refueling, passenger transitions, or the addition of cargo carts
