Founding of Kerdovan's Watch

Founding

The founding of the Second Watch by Wreylar Kerdovan, called the Farseer.

By the end of the War of Seven, Andellion was a mess of political factions, fractured states and family feuds no-one could even remember the cause of (undoubtedly because the people who could remember the causes had been killed off rather fast at the beginning of the conflict, feuds being feuds). From this mess rose Kerdovan, whom the stories often paint as the Goddess' Herald but who was in fact a defected war general from the now fractured Amrekyan (which had split into Amreke and Kyan as Kerdaante and Tereban had fought over the territory). From what the chronicler was able to gather from the histories, it would appear that Kerdovan either had a god's worth of charisma or a Gift of making people want to listen to him, follow him and please him (the chronicler suspects the second, in which case it is extremely fortunate for all of Andellion that Kerdovan was not a homocidal maniac like nearly all the rulers of Andellion at the time). Kerdovan had grown up on the battlefield and was sick of war, and stories say that after he defected he traveled around the continent, amassing followers of his own like an ever-growing army, and managed to convince the rulers of each warring kingdom to end the conflict once and for all.
